The Texas Bankruptcy Law Offices of R.J. Atkinson handles personal Chapter 7 Bankruptcy cases for a flat fee of $700.00.

Although we charge $700.00 for attorney’s fees to file most Texas Chapter 7 Bankruptcy cases, we still have to assess your personal situation before we can agree to accept your case. In other words, even though you may want to file for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, you still have to qualify.

So first and foremost, you have to take the bankruptcy means test to determine if you are eligible to file for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. <CLICK HERE> to use our Free Texas Bankruptcy Means Test Calculator to see if you qualify for Chapter 7.

If the bankruptcy means test determines that you are eligible to file for Chapter 7, contact us to set up a free initial consultation. At the consultation, you’ll need to provide us an accurate assessment of your debts, assets, income, and tax information so we can accurately assess your case.

To retain Attorney’s Services, you must execute a written retainer agreement which may be provided to you at an in person consultation should you be eligible for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and should the Attorney(s) agree to accept your case.

The $700.00 for attorney’s fees is for personal Chapter 7 Bankruptcy cases and does not apply to Chapter 7 Business Bankruptcy Cases, adversary proceedings, contested matters, or objections to discharge.

There are also some pre-filing requirements before you can file for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy which includes taking a credit counseling course approved by the US Trustee’s Office and the United States Bankruptcy Court. You can take the counseling course in our office or to find an approved agency on your own.
